– Ugly & Imperfect Produce Delivered to your door.
Well, I have to say only the second part of that statement is correct.
I have been Misfits Market customer for almost a year now. I have never been disappointed with their produce until now. I have no idea why they even market them as misfits. None of the produce I received even looked or felt odd shapes or sizes, let alone ugly or imperfect.
But the second part of their statement that – Fresh produce delivered to your door == That’s absolutely right!!
Read on and see what I am saying.
You see all the produce below, this is the fresh box I got the shipment notice on Monday morning and delivered on Tuesday afternoon(June-16).
This box has:
- (1) Butternut squash
- (3) Apples
- (2) Peaches
- (1) Mango
- (1) Cucumber
- (5) Potatoes
- (1) Onion
- (3) Oranges
- (3) Beetroot
- (1) Romaine Lettuce
- (1) Italian Parsley
All this ORGANIC and FRESH produce is under $30. You can’t beat that!
So, they charge you $22 for the produce and $4.50 as delivery charge. So, I pay $27.50 for the bx to be delivered to my door step. Note that delivery charges might vary depending on the zipcode.
You do have the option of selecting big or small box and the delivery schedule can go between weekly or bi-weekly. And on top of that you can either skip the individual weekly deliveries or pause it for 1-6 months. All at your fingertips. What more can you ask?
Truth be told, my Indian grocery store bill would be far less than this bill. But I am not comparing apples to apples if I do that. The fact that they are all Organic, Saved from landfill, local farmers, door delivery are more pros in my book.
I get few of the winter produce like Acorn squash and butternut squash sometimes. And if some reason, you are not satisfied with the produce you received, you can always contact them and they are pretty quick to correct the problem.
If you are still on the fence of produce delivery, try it, I am sure you wont regret it.
