Post from last year Thanksgiving!!

So, this post is wayyyyyyy later than the expected date of arrival. You see, I made this cake to take for a Thanksgiving potluck hosted by my friend. I was thinking I will bake, make and picture the cake before I take it to the potluck. And hopefully post it before Thanksgiving weekend.
But, big but – Life happened. I did the first few steps until taking the picture. Then potluck, black friday, weekend and on and on and on kept going on. And this cake never saw the blog face until now. But better late than never.

So, I saw the cake on the Sugarhero blog many many months ago. I was sure this would be perfect for thanksgiving. It didn’t disappoint. I made the exact same cake. Except, I doubled the recipe and made more like sheet cake with the pumpkin loaf on top and bottom and the cream cheese-Butter frosting in between the layers.

It turned out beautiful.

I added the pumpkins and turkey made of cake crumbs, frosting & candy corn to add to the occasion. The Cake definitely looks festive and thanksgiving treat.
